12.15 Use of Equipment
Equipment, essential in accomplishing job duties, is expensive and may be difficult to replace. When using University property, you are expected to exercise care, perform required maintenance, and follow all operating instructions, safety standards and guidelines.
Please notify your Program Director or Department Head if any equipment, machine, or tools appear to be damaged, defective or in need of repair. Prompt reporting of damages, defects and the need for repairs could prevent deterioration of equipment and possible injury to employees or others. Any questions about your responsibilities for maintenance and care of equipment used on the job should be directed to your supervisor/manager or the Human Resources Department. A support ticket must be created at supportticket@fnu.edu.
All medical and nursing lab equipment is to be solely used for teaching purposes only and cannot be used to treat, test or diagnose an illness on any employee or patient. If someone is ill, you must refer them to see their primary care physician or dial 911.
