5.1 Policy on Use of the Student Faculty Evaluation Surveys

The faculty members are anonymously evaluated by their students. Each instructor should expect student evaluations at the end of each course. This anonymous end-of-course survey can be conducted by the Office of Research and Assessment, Office of Academic Affairs, and/or the Division Heads.

The students are to fill out the survey through the Blackboard portal as part of their final course activities.

When completed, the student surveys are compiled and forwarded to the appropriate Division Head. The Division Head then reviews the survey results with the faculty member. Surveys are an opportunity to learn and develop as faculty, these surveys are for the purpose of coaching, mentoring and training. The primary goal is to develop action steps to enhance future classroom experiences. The Department Head or Program Director should guide their faculty towards opportunities to enhance the classroom experience.
