Satisfactory Clinical Progress - PHT 1801L Grading Procedure

The Clinical Performance Instrument (CPI) for PTAs will be utilized to track the student’s progress throughout this part-time rotation. The Grading Procedure for Clinical Practicum 1 (PHT 1801L) is as follows:

• Students will be graded by the DCE or program faculty member on the CPI criterion 1-6, 13-14 at the mid-term of Clinical Practicum 1 (PHT 1801L).
  • It is the expectation for satisfactory clinical progress that the student will achieve no less than Advanced Beginner Performance on these criteria.
• Students will be graded by the DCE or program faculty member on all 14 CPI criteria at the end of the semester.
  • It is the expectation for satisfactory clinical progress that the student will achieve no less than Advanced Beginner on the CPI in 14 out of 14 criteria unless it is marked as “skill not available at this setting”.
