Program Director/Director of Clinical Education
Michael Gubieda, MHA, BS, PTA, CLWT
The PD is the faculty member responsible for the oversight and administration of the program.
The DCE is the faculty member responsible for the oversight and administration of the clinical education component of the program.
The Program Director holds a Master in Health Service Administration degree, a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in health, and an Associates in Science Physical Therapist Assistant degree. Mr. Gubieda has worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant since 2012 in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, and acute care. He continues to work as a PTA in a hospital setting on weekends. He has also had the privilege of working with professional athletes as well as with semi-professional teams. Within this time, Mr. Gubieda also served as clinical instructor for two years. Additionally, he was involved in working with a local university in implementing an exercise/balance based program for the elderly in the Miami Dade and Broward County communities. Mr. Gubieda is a member of the APTA, the Florida Physical Therapy Association, and the Florida Consortium of Clinical Educators. He is an APTA Credentialed CI and is in the process of advancing his professional development by pursuing additional study in the McKenzie method. Additionally, Mr. Gubieda completed a certification recently to become a certified Lymphedema and Wound therapist.
