Education and Licensure

Students completing the program will graduate with an Associate of Science Degree. This will allow students to sit for the national exam.

All Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants are required to pass a national licensing examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. Students will receive more information regarding licensure during the final semester of the program. For more information students can access state practice acts and regulations from each state’s licensing board at www.fsbpt.org, along with specific information regarding the National Physical Therapy Examination and the Florida Jurisprudence exam. For information specific to physical therapy in Florida students can access information from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy at www.floridasphysicaltherapy.gov.
