Clinical Site Midterm Visitation Policy

One (1) visit is mandated during each full-time clinical experience. The DCE will visit the students and clinical instructors at the midterm point of each clinical experience. If the DCE is unable to physically visit a student, a phone call will be scheduled with the student and CI.

Procedure

During the second week of each clinical experience, the DCE will contact the CI to schedule an onsite visit during the fourth week with the student and the CI to discuss the student’s progress and CPI.

• If a physical visit is not possible, a phone call with both the student and the CI will be scheduled.
• If there are any issues with the student or CI, the DCE will schedule either a follow-up call or visit. The frequency of the visit(s) or phone call(s) will be at the DCE’s discretion and determined on an individual basis depending on the severity of the issue.
