Program Philosophy

The Philosophy of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Florida National University is to create a program that emphasizes the blending of didactic material focused on social and natural sciences with the values that guide the profession of Physical Therapy, especially: critical thinking, professional behaviors, cultural sensitivity and a commitment to lifelong learning to promote continued career development. The program will employ the highest principles of education, ethics and legal standards to promote integrity within the healthcare system in general, and specifically within Physical Therapy.

We believe that PTAs should be respectful and compassionate healthcare providers who consistently and passionately advocate for their patients and the field of physical therapy.
