PCT 105 Fundamentals of Patient Care, Disease and Treatment

The course introduces basic patient care such as taking vital signs, transferring the patients, personal care and feeding of the patients, monitoring of equipment, intake and output, and specimen collection, and understanding basic disease and treatment as related to out-of-range vital signs. Student learning outcomes focus on critical competency development in Comprehensiveness, Coordination, Continuity, and Compassion. (3 hrs. Lect.)
