ESL 004 Integrated Practice IV

This course introduces and reinforces grammar, functional language, vocabulary, pronunciation, and spelling, with emphasis on cultural awareness. It prepares learners to communicate independently and with limited fluency in basic everyday interactions. The course material is intended to aid in reinforcing skills for active listening, comprehension of short texts, and writing short essays. Additional material is provided on topics related to local history and socio-cultural heritage. (17 hrs./wk). Prerequisite: ESL 003 or Placement Test.
