ESL 003 Integrated Practice III

This course introduces and reinforces grammar, functional language, vocabulary, pronunciation, and spelling, with emphasis on cultural awareness. It prepares learners to communicate confidently in basic everyday interactions. The course material is intended to aid in reinforcing skills for active listening and understanding basic spoken language, comprehension of short texts, and writing formal and informal emails and messages. Additional material is provided on topics related to local history and socio-cultural heritage. (17 hrs./wk). Prerequisite: ESL 002 or Placement Test.
