Diploma and Certificate Programs
The admission requirements for the Career Education and Diploma Programs are as follows:
These programs are non-degree vocational and technical programs.
Career Education Diploma Programs:
- Documentation of Prior Education as described in the Admission Policies and Procedures.
- Be beyond the age of compulsory education, which is 16 years of age, in the State of Florida.
- Complete an interview with an FNU admissions representative.
- Submit a completed and signed Enrollment Application.
- Take a diagnostic test when enrolling in a program that includes ENC 1101 and/or MAC 1105 as a requirement. Students with an SAT score of 880 or above and an ACT score of 19 or above on all the subtests are exempt from this exam. Students scoring below the set level on the diagnostic test will be required to take Basic Skills courses to improve their readiness for successful university work.
- International students, on an I-20 Visa, applying to Florida National University's career education diploma programs, and whose native language is not English, must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (the TOEFL) and obtain a score of 62 or above with each section with an acceptable level (intermediate or fair and above), or a score of 5.5 on the IELTS, or a 44 on the PTEA. Satisfactory completion of university level English courses from an accredited institution will also serve to demonstrate fluency.
- Make a commitment to abide by FNU directives and regulations.
- Pay Enrollment Registration Fee.
Career Education Certificate Programs:
- Documentation of Prior Education as described in the Admission Policies and Procedures.
- Be beyond the age of compulsory education, which is 16 years of age, in the State of Florida.
- Complete an interview with an FNU admissions representative.
- Submit a completed and signed Enrollment Application.
- Make a commitment to abide by FNU directives and regulations.
- Pay Enrollment Registration Fee.
