PLA 2600 Fundamentals of Wills, Trusts, and Estates
This course will introduce students to the requirements of creating a trust, as well as the duties and responsibilities of both personal trustees and corporate trustees. The students will also be required to draft a simple will. An introductory discussion of intestacy law will be included. Topics covered include: estate planning, wills and the laws of succession, the drafting and executing of wills, trusts, formal and informal probate administration, and tax consequences of wills and trusts.
