Recordkeeping
Upon conclusion of the Title IX grievance process, the complete file shall be securely stored and preserved for a minimum of seven years or applicable time as described in 34 C.F.R. 106.45(b)(10). At a minimum, the file will contain the Final Investigative Report, the final determination, any audio or audiovisual recordings or transcripts required under 34 C.F.R. 106.45(b)(6)(i), records of disciplinary sanctions imposed on the respondent, and records of remedies provided to the complainant. Records from any appeal or informal resolution processes will also be maintained in the file.
Confidentiality of preserved records shall be maintained to the extent possible and as described in the section titled “Confidentiality”.
