Admission Requirements

  1. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Students who graduated from a non‑accredited institution and meet all other admission requirements will be evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis; admission is not guaranteed. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated and accompanied by equivalencies from an accredited Credential Evaluation Agency.
  2. Candidates must demonstrate foundational knowledge in Accounting and Business Management. Applicants who cannot demonstrate this competency must complete the following courses prior to being admitted to the program:  
  3. Submission of a completed MHSA program application form.
  4. Two professional letters of recommendation attesting to the candidate’s potential for advanced graduate study and leadership.
  5. Submission of a current résumé or CV.
  6. A written essay of at least 200 words describing the applicant’s motivation for pursuing an advanced degree in Health Services Administration.

Academic Requirements

  1. Students must complete all courses in the MHSA program with a minimum grade of “B” or higher in each course and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  2. A grade of “C+” or below is considered a failing grade.
  3. Students are permitted to repeat a course only once. Two failing grades will result in dismissal from the program.
