Program Description:

This program prepares the students for entry-level positions and advanced professional education in psychology. Students will be exposed to the major domains of psychology and will acquire a solid base of knowledge in each of these domains, as well as be able to integrate and apply knowledge and meet their career goals. Florida National University awards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology upon completion of the program.

Concentrations (33 Credits)

Students in the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program may choose one of three concentrations: Applied Behavior Analysis, Addiction Studies, and Mental Health. 

Applied Behavior Analysis

The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) concentration and recommended electives are shown below. The ABA concentration is approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a Qualified Pathway 2 Program. Students interested in the Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) concentration need to complete at least 60 credits before beginning the ABA course sequence. In addition, they need to take the following courses prior to the more advanced EAB courses: DEP 4220 Autism Spectrum and EAB 3002 Foundations of Applied Behavior Analysis.
