CIS 4204 Ethical Hacking
This course focuses on the practical evaluation of cyber applications, systems, and networks to identify vulnerabilities and assess security posture. This program combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience gain the knowledge and skills to protect networks using the tools and techniques of an ethical hacker. After exploring the concept of ethical hacking and explaining its importance, it delivers an in-depth guide to performing security testing against computer networks using current tools and penetration testing methodologies in conducting assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies. Students will learn industry-standard methodologies and tools for assessing cybersecurity risks in various application environments. This is a very intensive hands-on course with activities embedded within each chapter that serve as both teaching and learning tools. Prerequisite: Completion of all lower-level coursework.
