Clinical Instructors

The program’s policy regarding clinical instructors is:

To possess no less than 1 year of clinical experience as a licensed PT or PTA.
To be in good standing with their employer and the Florida Department of Health.
To have taken the CPI online training course.
To have knowledge of legislation regarding supervision of students.
To be familiar with the program’s policies and procedures.
To communicate with the DCE and SCCE regarding student progress.
To be familiar with the program’s expectations for student learning during clinical practicums.
To have the desire to teach both the technical and professional components required for an entry-level PTA to be successful in the health care field.
To be identified as an effective clinical educator on student evaluations following completion of the clinical practicum.
