PLA 4522 Health Care law
This course provides an overview of regulations and laws that apply to the health care system. The contractual relationship established between patient and provider as well as patient and health insurance company; state and federal regulations regarding licensing, health care facilities, and health care insurance; state and federal laws governing health care, privacy and bioethics are the topics covered in this course. In addition, the course will give an in-depth look at the governing case law in each of these areas, as well as, addressing issues surrounding liability in the health care profession and medical malpractice.
