NUR 1211C Adult Health Nursing I
This adult-health nursing course focuses on the care of adults with uncomplicated medical-surgical alterations in health. Pathophysiologic mechanisms of disease are covered as well as assessment and nursing management with a special emphasis on the chronically ill client. The role of the nurse as provider of care, communicator, teacher, manager, and member of a profession are expanded and provide the framework for clinical application and evaluation. Theoretical knowledge and principles are applied in the skills laboratory and clinical setting. (4 hrs. Lect., 1 hr. Lab, 4 hrs. Clinical)
